About the Event

The Dirty 30 is a walk or run through the spectacular West Highlands of Scotland.

Registration

Registration is from 7:30am in Glenelg Village Hall. Please ensure you bring a print out of your confirmation email.

Tea, coffee, bacon rolls, etc will be on sale.

Checkpoints

There are 4 checkpoints on the Dirty 30 route. You must ensure that you are recorded at each checkpoint.

Anyone withdrawing should do so only at a checkpoint and MUST inform a marshal.

On The Day

There will be NO entries accepted on the day.

Entries must be completed online by 10pm on the eve of the event.

Start / Finish

The Dirty 30 will start at 9:00am in front of the village hall. The Dirty Dozen will start an hour later, at 10:00 am.

The finish will be back at the Glenelg Village Hall, where you will receive your official time and a certificate recording your achievement.

Tea, coffee, soup, home baking, etc will be on sale.

Toilets

Available at Shiel Bridge Camp Site and Glenelg Hall

A coin-operated shower is also available in the village hall.

Equipment

You should ensure you are adequately prepared for all weather

  • OS Explorer Map 413 or OS Landranger Map 33
  • Waterproof clothing
  • Sunblock and Midge repellent
  • Food / Drink

Dogs

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the event.

Children

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

A family entry is available for the Dirty Dozen. £30 for 1 adult + up to 4 children under 16.

Routes

Dirty 30

A 30 mile circuit from Glenelg, passing the Skye Ferry, the Skye Bridge and the world famous Eilean Donan castle before climbing over the hills and past ancient brochs before returning to the finish in Glenelg

Dirty Dozen

A shorter 12 mile route from Glenelg, views down the Sound of Sleat and of the Skye Bridge before returning to Glnelg via the Skye Ferry.

Please note, the Dirty Dozen will start at 10am.
