Brilliant
event, well organised.
Thanks to all involved in getting it up and running, marshals, first
aiders, 'angels' in the kitchen at Glenelg.
Sadly, we didn't complete it but will be back next year with lighter
packs and a revised game plan to try again.
How's about an earlier start and ever so slightly cooler weather?
I'm not superstitious but could I be NOT number 13 next year! Thanks
too, to the guy who ran us back to Inverinate from Glenelg.

Thank you for a fantastic event which my friends and I enjoyed
greatly.
With thanks

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to everyone for organising such a
great event at the weekend. You all obviously put in a huge amount
of time and effort.
Even although we didn't manage to complete it we really enjoyed
ourselves (although at the time I might not have said so!! - the
heat was pretty exhausting!). I blame the fact that my sister was
number 13!
Everyone we met was so helpful and friendly. I hope next year we'll
be able to complete the 30 miles, and I know it's already been
mentioned, but an earlier start, say 9am, would make all the
difference. Thank the ladies at Glenelg hall who gave us a beef bone
to gnaw on. It tasted delicious - they know who they are! Please let
us know when the next walk is.

A very good
team effort, everyone thought there was a huge squad behind the
event...little did they know.
Ian was talking of a hot debrief on Tuesday perhaps, after that it
may be difficult to get everyone together whilst it is all fresh.
I'm glad it all went well and we should be grateful for all the
support we manage to cadjole from folks. See you soon perhaps and
thanks for your all your hard work.

Very many thanks for your efficient organisation of the event. A
great experience, even for a "local".
I left a Leki pole in the reception tent in my hurry to exit the
tent at the end of the event owing to the midges (and tiredness). If
anyone found it perhaps I could collect it from (say) the 914 shop
in due course.
Ted Gerrard, (event number 55)
In our opinion, as participants, the inaugural event yesterday was a
great success. We trust all those involved in organising the
challenge feel the same. We were blessed with good weather, which
was a
bonus.
Well done, and congratulations to you all.
