About the Event
The Dirty 30 is a walk or run through the spectacular West Highlands of Scotland.
Registration is from 7:30am in Glenelg Village Hall. Please ensure you bring a print out of your confirmation email.
Tea, coffee, bacon rolls, etc will be on sale.
There are 4 checkpoints on the Dirty 30 route. You must ensure that you are recorded at each checkpoint.
Anyone withdrawing should do so only at a checkpoint and must inform a marshal.
In order to minimise the traffic around Glenelg a free shuttle bus service will be available from Shiel Bridge camp site. Busses will run between 7:00am and 8:00am from Shiel Bridge.
Please Note: There are only 100 places available on the suttle bus, on a first come basis.
A return bus will run approximately every ½ hour from the finish in Glenelg back to Shiel Bridge - the first bus will be at 15:30.
Start / Finish
The Dirty 30 will start at 9:00am in front of the village hall. The Dirty Dozen will start an hour later, at 10:00 am.
The finish will be back at the Glenelg Village Hall, where you will receive your official time and a certificate recording your achievement.
Tea, coffee, soup, home baking, etc will be on sale (proceeds to Glenelg primary school).

A coin-operated shower is also available in the village hall.
You should ensure you are adequately prepared for all weather

- Waterproof clothing
- Sunblock and Midge repellent
- Food / Drink
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the event.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
A family entry is available for the Dirty Dozen. £30 for 1 adult + any number of children under 16. Unfortunately online application is not possible, only on the day.
A 30 mile circuit from Glenelg, passing the Skye Ferry, the Skye Bridge and the world famous Eilean Donan castle before climbing over the hills and past ancient brochs before returning to the finish in Glenelg
A shorter 12 mile route from Glenelg, taking in the Skye Ferry and the Skye Bridge before heading through the forest with magnificent views down the Sound of Sleat on the way back to the finish in Glenelg
Please note, the Dirty Dozen will start at 10am.
